Sourdough Starter – Day 3

From this point on, I will be feeding the starter twice a day. Since I began at around 10:00pm on Day 1, one day will be an evening and morning.

Day 3: (Evening) Starter has returned to its original size.  Poured out and discarded 1/2 cup of starter and fed the remainder.  Rinsed out the jar because it was starting to look yucky. Then I realized my mistake.  I was supposed to pour out and discard all except 1/2 of a cup.

So aggervated, I forgot to photograph the jar.

(Morning) After 12 hours, there are a few bubbles on top, but no change in size.  Fed starter correctly this time.  I hope I haven’t killed it…
